Cozy Blanket, Plush VIP Sofa, and Zero Memory: Go Hyun-jung's Hilarious Attempt to Watch 'The Odyssey'

actress Go Hyun-jung brought smiles to fans after candidly revealing why her recent trip to the movie theater didn't go quite as planned.

On August 25, Go Hyun-jung took to social media to share an endearing behind-the-scenes moment from her outing to see Christopher Nolan's blockbuster film, The Odyssey. Alongside a photo, she wrote with humor: "I really wanted to see the movie 'Odyssey,' but since I couldn't sleep well the night before, I don't remember anything from the middle onwards. Anyone want to go see it with me?"

In the uploaded photo, Go is seen fast asleep in a plush, sofa-style seat inside the premium theater at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall. Sporting chic black horn-rimmed glasses, a stylish leather jacket, and cozying up under a warm theater blanket, the actress appeared so deeply and comfortably asleep that she looked as if she were in her own living room.

Despite her eager anticipation for the highly acclaimed epic, fatigue from the previous sleepless night got the better of her, causing her to lose memory of the entire second half of the screening. Her honest, unpretentious confession and lighthearted invite for a movie companion quickly resonated with netizens, who praised her charming and relatable personality.

Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, an ambitious cinematic adaptation of Homer's legendary Greek epic, portrays the arduous, mythic voyage of Trojan War hero Odysseus. The film continues its massive box office run, holding the number-one spot in domestic theaters for 21 consecutive days and drawing a cumulative audience of over 7.46 million viewers.

With most of the movie's gripping climax missed in her deep slumber, it looks like Go Hyun-jung will soon be heading back to the theater for round two.
