Kang Yoo-seok Becomes a Successful Fan: First Meeting with Role Model Jo Jung-suk on 'Direct from the Farm 3'

Actor Kang Yoo-seok experienced the ultimate "successful fan" moment on the latest broadcast of tvN’s variety program Sister’s Direct from the Farm Season 3.

The episode brought together cast members Yum Jung-ah, Kim Sun-young, Kang Yoo-seok, and Noh Yoon-seo, alongside special guest Jo Jung-suk for another day of rural life. While Jo Jung-suk shared past working ties with the senior cast—having starred with Yum Jung-ah in Hit-and-Run Squad and Kim Sun-young in Hospital Playlist—it was his introduction to Kang Yoo-seok that stole the spotlight.

The production team revealed early on that Kang had consistently cited Jo as his ultimate role model in the industry. Jo expressed his excitement, noting that this was their very first time crossing paths.

The fanboy moment peaked during meal preparations when Jo Jung-suk arrived on set serenading the cast with his hit song "Aloha." While the senior cast greeted him with casual familiarity, Kang stood back in awe, visibly flustered with his face turning bright red as he let out a stunned "Wow."

Kang confessed to the group that his mind went completely blank, explaining that he always names Jo as his inspiration during interviews. A delighted Jo thanked him warmly before teasing, "What was it about me that you liked so much?"

The playful banter continued when Yum Jung-ah reminded Kang that he would be sharing a room with Jo for the night. Blushing down to his ears, Kang exclaimed, "I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight," prompting Jo to jokingly fire back, "I'm nervous too," drawing laughs from the entire set.
