'Love Catcher' Alum Kim Ji-yeon Shares Heartfelt Message to Son Amid Ongoing Divorce Battle with Baseball Player Jung Cheol-won
Kim Ji-yeon, a former contestant on Mnet's reality dating show Love Catcher, shared a heartfelt message on social media dedicated to her son as he approaches his second birthday, reflecting on her journey through motherhood.
In her post, Kim candidly described the immense emotional distress she experienced during and after her pregnancy, confessing that her child had been used as a "means of blackmail" during a period when she struggled to stay afloat.
She explained that seeing her son's bright smile pulled her back from the brink of giving up, renewing her determination to shield him from harm regardless of the difficult paths she had to walk.
Kim married professional baseball pitcher Jung Cheol-won last December after announcing a premarital pregnancy and giving birth to their son in 2024, but the couple separated shortly afterward.
The two are currently undergoing divorce proceedings, with Kim’s legal team alleging domestic violence, suspected infidelity, and unpaid child support, while Jung’s representatives continue to strongly deny all accusations.
