Ahn Hyo-seop’s ‘Final Table’ Set to Bring High-Stakes Kitchen Drama to JTBC

JTBC is gearing up for a major new weekend drama as ‘Final Table’, starring Ahn Hyo-seop, prepares to make its television debut on October 24.

The upcoming series has unveiled behind-the-scenes photos from its script reading, giving viewers an early look at the cast’s chemistry and the intense world of professional cooking.

Set around ‘The Table: K-Chef 2026,’ a global competition designed to discover Korea’s top chef, Final Table follows talented chefs from around the world as they compete through demanding culinary challenges. Alongside spectacular food and kitchen battles, the drama will explore ambition, rivalry, relationships and personal struggles.

Ahn Hyo-seop Leads the Star-Studded Cast

Ahn Hyo-seop takes on the role of Kang Han, a chef with international experience who has traveled across the globe. During the script reading, the actor reportedly impressed the production team with his multilingual dialogue and focused portrayal of a chef competing under intense pressure.

His character’s serious attitude and strong presence are expected to become one of the drama’s major attractions.

The cast also includes Hong Hwa-yeon, Jang Ryul, Jung Yoo-jin, Jang Young-nam, and Cha Ji-yeon, each playing characters connected to the competitive restaurant and food industry.

Hong Hwa-yeon plays Choi Song-yi, a manager at the restaurant Familia. Her character is portrayed as someone who maintains her determination despite repeatedly facing difficult situations.

Jang Ryul plays Cha Woo-jin, the head chef of the prestigious restaurant Exception. His commanding personality is expected to create strong tension within the kitchen.

Meanwhile, Jung Yoo-jin portrays Seon Jeong-won, an executive producer involved with the survival competition. Her character combines a calm leadership style with a firm determination to achieve her goals.

Family Rivalry Adds More Tension

Beyond the culinary competition, Final Table will also feature a powerful corporate storyline.

Jang Young-nam plays Moon Hae-seon, chairman of Pyeongyeon Group, described as Korea’s leading food-service company. Cha Ji-yeon takes on the role of Baek Hyun-joo, her half-sister, who has her own ambitions within the company.

The conflict between the two characters is expected to add another layer of suspense to the drama, with corporate power struggles unfolding alongside the battles in the kitchen.

JTBC Bets on a New Weekend Hit

With its combination of food, competition, romance, ambition and family conflict, Final Table is shaping up to be one of JTBC’s notable new weekend offerings.

The drama also arrives with considerable expectations surrounding Ahn Hyo-seop, whose previous work includes Dr. Romantic 2. That series reached a peak nationwide rating of 27.1%, establishing him as an actor capable of attracting a large television audience.

Whether Final Table can achieve similar success remains to be seen, but its star cast and culinary setting have already generated significant anticipation.

When and Where to Watch ‘Final Table’

Final Table will premiere on October 24, 2026, at 10:40 PM KST on JTBC.

The drama is also scheduled for a worldwide release through Amazon Prime Video, allowing international viewers to follow the new Korean culinary series.

With fierce chef competitions, corporate power struggles and a cast led by Ahn Hyo-seop, Final Table is positioning itself as a drama to watch this fall.
